About the Author

My name is Jason Dyck. I am a jack-of-all-trades with a public school education and a desire for better. I’ve been many things and am now only several. I blog under the nickname The Free-range Oyster for reasons that no one can remember, but it’s been my common handle for years now and I’ve grown rather fond of it.

  1. ason, I know you as Free-Range Oyster, I am Bob McArthur, and I post on Sarah Hoyt’s blog as “Bob”.
You mentioned taking up that idea of a web-based translated foreign news service, and I have questions about what you were thinking because it sounds really interesting.

I’m planning a similar idea using feeds from small town and county weeklies that are around here in Western Oregon as a pre-paid subscription service that supports itself, probably, by advertising …. Or maybe the other way around.

You have my email, I’d love to talk.

    Bob.
